Since 2009, we have been the lead agency for PR and marketing communications for AOC in the EMEA. We coordinate communications across Europe, monitor media coverage with our customised tools, manage fourteen local agencies, and monitor the KPIs of all partners. We also manage PR directly in nine European countries, including media and influencer relations, influencer marketing, advertising, and trade fair/event support.
Because computer gaming is no longer just for traditional gamers but for everyone, young and old, AOC presented the AGON gaming monitor sub-brand for the premium segment in 2016. Five years later, in 2021, one in two people in Germany already played a computer or video game occasionally; and among younger people, the figure had even risen to >80 per cent. In order to meet the expectations of different types of gamers for their monitors, AOC relaunched the sub-brand “AGON by AOC” and since then has been offering monitors in three categories: for casual gamers (AOC Gaming), competitive gamers (AGON) and competitive eSports players (AGON Pro). In both cases, our task was to help make the sub-brand “AGON” or AGON by AOC known and successful – among other things, through international PR events, product PR, advertising/influencer marketing, and the communication support of product launches with partners such as Porsche Design.
