Initial situation

In contrast to China, where AOC monitors already had a good reputation, the own brand of the world’s largest display manufacturer TPV was virtually unknown in Europe in 2008.

Task

In 2009, we were given the task of helping to make AOC an A-brand in Europe.

Implementation/Results

Starting with a clear premium brand positioning, we developed a new corporate identity, corporate design, and visual launch concept. We also designed the first websites and developed advertising campaigns and POS materials. A particular focus was on PR, product tests, and awards. Through our work together, we established a strong presence in specialist, trade, and consumer media.

In 2010, we launched several multi-stage integrated online/offline communication campaigns in ten languages (PR, print and online advertising, website, POS, and newsletter) that ran for more than a year. During this time, we centrally managed all communication activities in Europe with an international team in Berlin and an employee in Paris. We ensured Europe-wide media monitoring, including the monitoring of competitors.

Today, AOC is one of the leading monitor brands worldwide and, at times, the No. 1 in the gaming sector. Many other AOC agency partners have also contributed to this success. We are currently in our fifteenth year of being responsible for product and corporate PR in DACH, UK, TR, HU and the Baltic States and, as the central hub agency for AOC, we coordinate fourteen other partner agencies in Europe.
