Expanding market position in Germany and Austria

Initial situation

Haier has been the world’s number one home appliance brand for more than a decade. It is a leading provider of appliances and consumer electronics with a strong focus on usability. The company places great emphasis on the usability of its innovations and, when we started working with the company, was also listed on the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list for the fourth consecutive year as the world’s first and only IoT ecosystem brand.

Task

B2B, B2C and channel communication, including social media, press conferences, interviews, PR mailings, trade adverts and more. In 2018, we were commissioned to help make the Haier brand better known and more successful in Germany and Austria.

Implementation/Results

In 2019, the CANDY and HOOVER brands were added too. In 2018/2019 sports sponsorship communication was also included, with Haier as the main sponsor of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld, Austria. Haier’s presence was significantly increased in all media categories, especially due to the World Ski Championships sponsorship. Haier, as well as Candy and Hoover, are continuously present in the media with their new products, promotions and events. On Facebook and Instagram, we have even managed to overtake some traditional industry giants in terms of growth.
